Creating Jewelry With Passion And Expertise

Polaris Luxe Director Keiko is an accomplished certified gemologist and jewelry specialist with over 25 years of wholesale and retail experience. Born and raised in Japan, her passion for gemstones began in early childhood. After working for pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly Japan K.K. where she became a patent holder, she decided to pursue her passion for gemology. She moved to New York City and earned diplomas at GIA (Gemological Institute of America), both G.G. and A.J.P (Graduate Gemologist and Accredited Jewelry Professional). She worked at both IGI (International Gemological Institute) and GIA for about 10 years.

Her exceptional abilities eventually landed her the position of Lead Gemologist at Harry Winston New York, a title created exclusively for her. During her 8 years at Winston she was responsible for some of the finest jewelry creations in the world, grading and purchasing the highest quality diamonds and rare gemstones including those over 100 carats.

She was then offered and took a position as Lab Supervisor for the De Beers Group in New York City where she worked closely with jewelry retailers and jewelers.

Later, a major global luxury brand reseller offered her the opportunity to establish a subsidiary company in Tokyo giving Keiko the opportunity to return to Japan.

With over 25 years of her all around industry experience, Keiko then decided to launch Polaris Luxe, providing made-to-order and one-of-a-kind jewelry at affordable prices.
