Keiko, Director of Polaris Luxe, is a certified gemologist and jewelry specialist with over 25 years of experience in both the wholesale and retail sectors. Born and raised in Japan, her passion for gemstones began in childhood and later led her to New York City, where she earned diplomas from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) and Accredited Jewelry Professional (A.J.P.).

Her gemological career spans major institutions, including nearly a decade working at both the International Gemological Institute (IGI) and GIA. Following that, her exceptional expertise earned her a position as Lead Gemologist at Harry Winston New York—a new and unique title created just for her, where she spent eight years handling some of the world’s most exquisite jewelry—sourcing and grading rare diamonds and gemstones, including stones over 100 carats.

Keiko later joined the De Beers Group as Lab Supervisor in New York, collaborating with top jewelers and retailers on quality assurance and gemstone evaluation. She was then invited to lead the launch of a Tokyo-based subsidiary for a major global luxury brand reseller, marking her return to Japan.

With a distinguished international career and comprehensive industry insight, Keiko then founded Polaris Luxe, a place where her love of gemology, her dedication to quality, and her vision of accessible luxury without compromising on quality come together.
